Introducing : Ola Layflat Patterned Notebooks
I have a love/hate relationship with all things organisational (mostly hate, if I am honest). My entire being objects to list making, box-ticking, even just writing something down. But when it comes to reflecting on my thoughts and developing some of those ideas running around in my head, I have found that the only thing to do is to put pen to paper.
So, how do I choose a notebook? I’ve tried the high street brands and some trendier options and have been disappointed. As with so many things, the more simple the design, the better the product. I knew I had lucked out when I found these Ola Layflat Notebooks and decided to stock them. They are IMHO the perfect notebook. The exact right balance between functional and beautiful design.
The covers are somewhere between hard and soft, making them the ideal weight - not bulky and not flimsy. The layflat binding allows you to work across two pages and the notebook rests open at a chosen page. So no annoying pressing pages down or pages turning by themselves! As you work through the notebook, it is easy to flick back and look at previous work. I have four different patterns available now in the shop.
The cover and the pages both have a pleasing, quality texture to the hand. But probably my favourite thing about them is the cover patterns and colours. They are cheerful and modern with that ‘just right’ colour. The patterns remind me of beautiful tiles or quilt patterns. I find myself reaching for my beautiful notebook daily to write down my thoughts and plan ahead. I’m already halfway through my current notebook and looking forward to choosing my next one, but which colour...?
